3 Games To Look Out For In June 2025

June 2025 is bursting with titles that demand attention – from neon-lit, glitchy adventures to sand-swept allegiances and sleek action-RPGs. If you’re aiming for your next obsession, these three games – Tron: Catalyst, Stellar Blade (PC), and Dune: Awakening – are shaping up to be unforgettable.

I’m excited to give them a try tbh especially because I’m trapped in the most BPD-inducing weather in Berlin, and the worst part is that I feel the weather has BPD too. So, I need to get my mind off of ts and try to somehow survive the ordeal. I’m scared for how bad winter’s gonna be or rather how close it is 🙁

In any case, all 3 titles are interesting and are definitely something I would go for. Here’s what makes them stand out!

1. Tron: Catalyst – Neon Reboot in the Grid

Release Date: June 17, 2025 • Platforms: PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch (also on Xbox Game Pass)

Step into the digital world of the Arq Grid as Exo, a trailblazer capable of manipulating time glitches. Tron: Catalyst is heavy on neon visuals, synthwave soundtrack, and Light Cycle races through glitching cityscapes. Players burst through time loops to find secrets, hack pathways, and join the underbelly of a VR revolution. Ooh that reminds me of another game, sorta. The vibe, I mean. If you’ve played Neon Abyss, you would know exactly what I’m talking about. The soundtrack, the visuals, neon-themed EVERYTHING (sorta), the mini-games and great visuals.
The official trailers from Bithell Games showcased dreamlike visuals and earned early buzz for visuals and world-building. The demo hit Steam ahead of launch, letting fans test the glitch-powered traversal first-hand. Reactor-blocking puzzles, faction drama, and branching paths create that addictive “one more run” urge. And that reminds me of yet another game, Enter the Gungeon. I feel like it’s the fuckin vibe. Now I need to play both these games again before I start w Tron: Catalyst. Bruh…

Tron: Catalyst feels like stepping into a polished synth-pop dream. If you crave precision platforming, time manipulation, and a pulsing neon aesthetic, this one delivers.

2. Stellar Blade – PC Debut Brings New Power

Release Date: June 11, 2025 • Platforms: PC (Steam), previously on PS5

Originally a PS5 exclusive, Stellar Blade finally touches down on PC – this time with bells and whistles. Think DLSS 4, FSR 3, ultrawide support, unlocked framerates above 120 FPS, and crisp upgraded AI-upscaling to boot. I can’t wait to use my overly expensive, under-used behemoth of a machine to play this. Sorry to flex but I do be having a great system to play these games on. I am so extra. But if I’m playing games like these I really want them to look great on my system y’know.
Core gameplay holds tight to its action-meets-Souls formula: slow, deliberate combat that rewards perfect parries and stylish combos. Redditors rave over boss replay modes and nuanced encounters, though plenty admit the story felt bland despite “stellar” aesthetics. Haha see what I did there? I wanna kms.
Previews mentioned the opening sequence is crazy – orbital drops, ship crashes, hideous monsters – and the visuals are jaw-dropping. It’s a tight, level-based experience built for players who want challenge over open-world filler.

Stellar Blade’s PC debut hits the sweet spot between visual spectacle and challenge-driven combat. Bring your nerve, and a good PC; and be ready for some intense boss runs.

3. Dune: Awakening – Survive the Sands of Arrakis

Release Date: June 10, 2025 (PC launch; console in 2026) • Platforms: PC; PS5 & Xbox Series X/S planned for next year

I might be partially biased towards anything Dune. I AM JUST BEING HONEST. It’s probably something to do with my braindead French fucker of an ex but she ruined that franchise for me. I will TRY to not let it wash my actual experience and this article >:(

Anyway, I’m quite excited for the game. Funcom’s bold attempt to merge survival MMO with Dune-lore arrives this month. You play as a Bene Gesserit operative in an alternate timeline where Paul Atreides never existed. Arrakis is different; the Fremen are mysteriously gone, and harvesting spice brings death by sandworm or player gang raid.
Expect resource gathering, base building, ornithopter piloting, and ability systems like sand-induced foresight and drone control. Open-world visuals include giant sandstorms, stillsuits, ruined fortresses, and giant worms surfacing mid-harvest – from the trailers, it looks cinematic and massive.
The official launch trailer delivers scale: monolithic sandworms, drifting dust, huge spice fields, and the promise of both PvE and PvP conflict. Reddit feedback shows excitement about the freedom but concerns over early access mechanics and server scale. But its Reddit tbh. Some of the reviews are sometimes heavily skewed with a lot of bias (I PROMISE I’M NOT ONE OF THEM).

In any case, if you are a fan of open-world games and MMO stuff you’d be happy. Personally I’m more of a single player, storymode driven RPG games like the Witcher 3, or even Dying Light (1 and 2) even though they have very different genres. It’s because of the story-driven approach and it’s very very strong in that regard. Sure it has some shitty moments but overall I love to be immersed in a storyline that resonates and also makes you feel closer to the characters, and not just the protagonists.

Dune: Awakening is appetite-building. Not your usual single-player game, but immersive survival with MMO depth – base building, spice politics, and desert danger. PC fans get it first; console players will drool until next year. Wtf is that sentence even. “Drool until next year?” Waiter waiter!!! One instant lobotomy please!!!
