I bought this to try to stop the annoying "this product is not genuine" dialog. I didn't expect much since, from what I read, these OEM keys are meant to be used with specific hardware. The key wouldn't work at first--I got some error to do with incompatible BIOS settings, 0xC004F063. I said what the heck and decided to use the suggested "activate over the phone" option in the activation dialog. It was a long process with an automated robot voice dictating numbers for me to type in, but I am pleased to say that I am now the proud owner of an activated copy of Windows 7!
